This summer, Phoenix proudly opened its doors to young, passionate minds eager to explore the world of scent—from concept to consumer.

Our Summer Internship Program gives aspiring fragrance professionals the opportunity to experience the art and science of perfumery up close. Interns Aden and ToniAnn have spent the past few months fully immersed in every stage of the fragrance journey: working hands-on in our labs, partnering with our Master Perfumers, collaborating with Evaluators and Marketing teams, and seeing how scent becomes storytelling.

At Phoenix, we believe in nurturing future leaders by providing real-world, immersive experiences that foster creativity, curiosity, and growth. Watching Aden and ToniAnn bring passion and fresh ideas into our space has been nothing short of inspiring.

Meet Our Summer Interns

Aden

“From regulatory, to raw material study, to compounding, and more—my experience at Phoenix has taught me so much about different facets of the fragrance industry and instilled in me a love for scents and the chemistry behind developing them. I will carry the lessons I learned here—about beauty and artistry created through science and precision—through my studies, my career, and the rest of my life.”

Highlights:

• Compounding complex sample requests, a process that requires patience, technical skill, and creativity.
  

Future Aspirations:
Aden isn’t sure where the future will lead just yet, but hopes to pursue work that combines creativity, analytics, science, and storytelling—whether in the fragrance industry or beyond.

Favorite Ingredient:
Mimosa Flower (Mimosa Absolute) for its unique floral, waxy, and powdery odor profile.

Most Exciting Project:
 Formulating John Pascale’s sample requests—a challenge that sometimes takes hours to perfect in the compounding lab.

ToniAnn

“My experience at Phoenix Fragrances has been inspiring. I enjoyed shadowing perfumers like Alex Nunez (VP Perfumery) and Tom Dunn (Senior Analytical Perfumer), learning behind the scenes in the labs, and exploring new fragrance concepts during development.”

Future Aspirations:
ToniAnn plans to pursue a career in marketing, where she can combine creativity and storytelling to share compelling products with consumers.

Favorite Ingredient:
Vanilla—a warm, rich, and versatile scent that shines in everything from fine fragrances to body care.

Most Exciting Project:
Working on personal care formulations, blending art and science to create products that people use every day.
